Must be a service dog,is my understanding
Cajun catfish or just on the seafood menu, can get it grilled, blackened or a few other styles.
The food was good, not spectacular. But the service was great and the enormous aquarium in the middle of the restaurant was awesome. My 2 boys loved it.
Alligator tacos were great. Fast friendly service and amazing atmosphere.
Good food a little pricey but not bad value. Nice atmosphere. Service was acceptable
Pretty good! I will say I felt the server seemed like she had an attitude. I'm not sure if it's only because I order my son food or what but he enjoyed it. Very cool place! The fish tank is awesome.
The restaurant inside Bass Pro is amazing. If you've never had calamari or alligator, you should try it. Staff are always friendly and the fish tanks are relaxing to watch.💖
When Bass Pro first opened the restaurant was great. Very disappointed on the downhill slide. Upon first opening the menu had high quality unique food. Now menu is like Long John Silver's but prices still high as if they had first menu with quality good.
Went to bass pro shop in ashland and discovered the restaurant. Asked a couple coming out and said fish and chips were good. Tried and it was not only good but very good. Keri the server was very good. Set next to the fish and they entertained us!!! Husband already looking at the menu to go back. Like the coupon on the receipt
The staff was friendly and fast, good was incredible, and the portion sizes were very large. Great mixed drinks, high quality, fun atmosphere....all in all a great place to eat!
The food and service was great. I had one of the better burgers I've had in a while. It's a great family friendly atmosphere.
Awesome food, huge aquarium to view, good staff. Never had a bad experience there. My only complaint is the tartar sauce is a bit thin, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
Alligator bites: lots of spicy breading. Texture of chicken and tastes like chicken until about the 2nd or 3rd piece. Then, dead seafood flavor. Save your money on this one. Brisket mac n' cheese was mostly noodles with small pieces of chopped brisket, like it wad a topping. There was a spicy cheese sauce under the pile of noodles, many were dry and some were hard. 🤷♀️Fish and chips: fish had a thick batter that was crispy on the outside and mushy and dense inside. Fish was white and flaky. Fries were a little hard. Pricey for the quality of food served.
Dissatisfied with this trip. Very bland food and even my 9 year old said he was dissatisfied. Hopefully it gets better. The service was amazing however!!!
All fish dishes are terrible. The alligator appetizer is really good but I get better car fish at has stations. It's slightly pricey and the catfish is absolutely terrible, damn near inedible. Everything is frozen, the fries are frozen, the fish, all of it.Maybe a burger would be good but they advertise themselves as sea food and all the sea food is awful. I think my buddy has flounder or something and it was also absolutely terrible for a restaurant that advertised as seafood.
Islamorada used to be such a great place. Once they stripped their title of fine dining it all went down hill.
Great food and service. Must also see the aquarium!
Love this restaurant. The food is great, specially the gator bites. The seafood is always prepared well, cooked just the way you ordered. The friendly staff is a big plus.So glad it's opened for business again.
My first time here and it was great. The bartender was pleasant, I wish had the names of her and the manager. The Manager l, was the big bald head guy. No hesitation tobtale our order at the bar cause the bartender stepped away. He was very customer service oriented. Always saw him bring out food. The bartender, who is about to give birth was moving, moving, moving. She was very nice. I or shall I say we, will definitely be back.
We have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it. Not so much today. The food was barely lukewarm. The taste was bland. We had the blackened and grilled mahi-mahi with mashed potatoes that were not made from scratch and green beans. They served flimsy plastic utensils that couldn’t pierce the green beans or cut the fish!!! The reasoning behind this was that they were following CDC guidelines but then served our drinks in a regular glass so obviously they had to wash and handle those. The food presentation ( and the taste) really made it feel like we were eating in a cafeteria rather than a restaurants. The restaurant was almost empty at 6 PM which makes me think that maybe this is a trend. We won’t eat here again.
Good food, good service and fun atmosphere!
I love this restaurant. After an excellent meal get to go walk around in a great store. What could be better.
The shrimp tacos were amazing! The aquarium is awesome and a great conversation piece. The kids meals left a lot to be desired. The cheeseburger is literally 1/2 a burger (cut down the middle) on a large bun, and it came with 12 fries, no drink, no other food. My kids did say the burger was good, but they were both still very hungry. Luckily the extra bread and hearty shrimp tacos could be shared.
Awesome food, exotic decor, and the best thing was the ginormous fish tank they had in the middle of the restaurant. My bartender was so nice. I recommend you go here for any special occasion. In fact, you should go here for all special occasions.
Worst experience! After we were sitting for 20 minutes a waitress finally took our drink orders. We ordered our food we ordered a cup of soup salad and kids meals. One hour later the waitress said There was three tickets ahead of us would be five more minutes. When I food finally came out the soup was ice cold the pizza my daughter ordered wasn’t even cooked! My son’s hamburger was the smallest burger I’ve ever seen! What a huge disappointment! We left
Service routine. Food well prepared. Catfish and alligator on menu. Nice outdoor atmosphere. Overall average restaurant...that should be outstanding! Disappointed.
Not a cheap place but not overly expensive. If you are going to pay the price eat redfish - it’s fantastic. Talapia is cheap fish...
I just included this in my review of bass pro shop and I didn't realize that it was separate from bass pro shop and this meal was the highlight of my day at the Bass Pro shop and now I will have to edit my review of them.My server was absolutely amazing and excellent in the performance of her job and deserves a raise! I had 3 orders of the all you can eat fried shrimp and a large lemon water, & 2 cups of freshly brewed excellent coffee, all for under 15 dollars! I asked her if she had added her gratuity to my bill, and she said that they couldn't receive a gratuity! I hope that the servers are paid well, otherwise Shame on you! I didn't mention her name because I didn't ask her permission too! But I was thinking that this would be a good place for me to bring a date...if I could get one !
Love this place and the service. The bartender is absolutely amazing. We go to plant nite and it's so much fun there.
Great food and good service! I accidentally left my debit card here and they recovered it and held it for me. Good people! Also, had the Gator tacos, and they were perfect!
Is this place for sale?? These reviews are pitiful... Looks as if nothings chaged since my last disappointing visit with the NOT so world famous fish sandwich which used to be amazing!
Slow service...kids hamburger was literally just a half of a piece...kids chicken was a lot of breaded nothing, no chicken hardly inside. Didn't see the need to complain about these since they were free, but had I paid $6.99 a piece for those meals I would have been having a word with the cook myself. Others at our table orders were wrong as well, everyone's fish tasted like cheap white fish versus Mahi and Catfish as ordered. I've been here before and it's been really good, but highly disappointed today. Menu has got smaller, prices have got higher and service has gone downhill as well...wasn't very crowded for a Sunday today either.
Honestly I've never had a bad meal at a very fair price. The food is served fresh and hot with a warm friendly smile. I had the all you can eat shrimp for $10.99 and my wife had the mussels in garlic sauce. I would reccomend this place to any and encourage you to go see for yourself. Also the fish tanks and decor is absolutley amazing.
Great restaurant for kids. Huge salt water aquarium as well as many varieties of artificial/stuffed fish hanging from the ceiling. There menu has such great potential. I always get excited when reviewing it, but when it comes down to it, the food consistently turns out on the bland side. This time I had shrimp tacos, which was 3 tacos each with 3 or 4 basic breaded shrimp sitting on shredded cabbage. There was a sauce drizzled over, but it didn't add any flavor. I think they are executing in their intentions, so I have no problem giving 5 stars. I'll keep hoping my entres will come out as I image them by reading the menu. I then, kids eat free when 🎅 is in town, so really can't beat it.
About 10 years ago the restaurant really had a Florida Sportsman feel and menu. It went downhill for a couple years with the menu selection. Seems to be getting better now with a better menu. Staff was great. Food came out on time and was real good.
I love this place and it’s everything you can expect from a Bass Pro restaurant. I’ve been to their restaurants in Missouri and Texas and they are always amazing. This one has a gigantic aquarium and the food is great. My only complaint was with the fried fish, the batter was way too thick. Everything else was great and half of my family won’t eat seafood so don’t let that scare you away. There are plenty of options for everyone.
Service was great. Bartender explained all the fish. Living, dead, and delicious. In town for a few more days. We will be back ;)
Had Uncle Buck's Fish & Chips for lunch. Fish was properly fried. Not soggy and dripping with grease. Coating was nice and crunchy. Fish was tender and flakey. Fries were good. It was also all you could eat. Initial order came with two pieces. They'll keep bringing them two at a time. It did take what seemed like a long time to get my order though. Especially since it was almost empty. I would go back again.
Ambiance was stellar! They have a huge fish tank in the center, very enjoyable and casual for the whole family. I had fried fish and chips and my husband had the fried shrimp platter. Lots of fried food with fries but they have some other things too, salads, etc. Great almost, friendly service and good food.
We get there and start to place our orders and the waitress talked so fast that you couldn't understand what she said, made no eye contact and acted as if she had better things to do. We waited an hour to get our food. Half of our food was cold or over cooked. Our broccoli looked as if it was old and 10 days past shelf life. No seasoning on vegetables. No silverware, no refills throughout our meal, and we had to track down our waitress to get the bill. That x was $115 for 5 people. Menu consisted of nothing hardly and most items were above $14.
Wonderful room, best aquarium I’ve ever seen outside of an aquarium, it has to be 40 feet long. Enjoyed the room/ atmosphere, Food was okay,
The food was not good.. cold and tasted old.
A little pricey for the over all experience. A great place to go. Just not frequently
Nice atmosphere but the food is just ok.
They text your phone when seat is ready. The food is spectacular. The hostess and waitress were on point. Manager never checked on us but that's ok everything was great
Very cool decorations! Huge fish tank In the bar. The food was very good and the service was great. Highly recommend.
Mass production food. The kids burger is about the same as any other burger on the menu. I don't mind going but it's a 50/50 chance the bread is stale and usually the food is also gamble. Service is great, but the food out of the kitchen is what dropped down the rating.
Delicious food! I got the gator tacos. It was my first time eating alligator and now I'm hooked. After eating you can check out the connected Bass Pro Shops store. A great time!
Waited about 45 minutes for a table, Understandable since it is Christmas time. Got our drinks fairly quickly and ordered fairly quickly, after about 20 to 25 minutes we had to ask for bread, waitress brought it out about 10 minutes later it was all stone cold. Waited another 20-25 minutes for our food, out of the six orders we placed, four were wrong, just about everything was luke warm or cold ,hamburger buns were hard and stale, croutons with cheese on them felt like they were made yesterday. Too hard to eat. None of us finished our meal, just wanted to get out of there. Meal/service was sub par in just about every way. Won’t be back.
If you are on death row and are looking for a way to prolong your mortal experience, come to Islamorada! Whether they're busy or have more waitresses than patrons, you'll get the same experience-- hours of waiting only for your food to come out cold, or not at all!I hope you don't think I'm salty about the entire experience, it must be the sodium levels that my body is still trying to digest from all the locally out-sourced food.Hope you enjoy your experience!
Service was awesome. Lisa was so kind and attentive. The food was below average, never mind the price. The Po Boy was full of plenty of shrimp but had no flavor and the batter in which it was fried was really not good. The Boar Burger was similarly mediocre. Low in flavor. Overcooked. I was here several years ago and remember enjoying the experience. This was a waste of too much money on such a low quality meal.
